Another visit to the unfinished house.
I tried this shot with several different shutter speed/aperture combinations before I finally found what I was looking for. This D60 is really turning in to a great Father’s Day/Birthday present.
34mm, f/5.0, ISO 100, Shutter 1/320
You could sell these pics to the owners when they finally move in.. or.. maybe they would dob you into the cops for trespassing..?
Seriously – it would be beautiful to have art images of your actual house hanging in your house.. I reckon. x
You’ve turned me into a fanatic with my camera. I’ve been playing with my settings a bit, but nothing has turned out as well as yours yet. I was better with complete manual and a darkroom than digital. It is like learning to walk or write again.
Kimba – Welcome! Thanks for stopping by and saying Hi!
Sensualist – My apologies. I’ve always been a bit of a bad influence, I’m afraid.
Seriously, though, I said almost exactly the same thing to someone yesterday. Coming from my background with film photography, this is very much like learning photography all over again. With film photography, what you saw on the shutter selector or aperture ring was what you had available. There was no f/5.1 or shutter speed 0.717. And the digital ‘darkroom’ is taking some getting used to as well, particularly for black and white portraits. I haven’t done anything yet that I’m happy with.
Ah, well … more opportunities to learn. When you stop learning, you start dying. The same goes for laughing, really.
This photo reminds me of a set of piano keys…. cool pic!
That is a cool pattern.
Scottie – Piano keys is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw it.
Thanks Kandea!
